Su Tseng-chang served as Premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan), a position that heads the executive branch of the government (Executive Yuan), from January 2019 to January 2023. One of the founders of the DPP in 1986, Premier Su has long been involved in politics and activism, and was a member of the legal defense team for a very important trial of Taiwanese activists and opposition leaders in the martial law period. Su has held many political posts and previously was premier under DPP President Chen Shui Bian from 2006-2007.
