Pepe Borrás is a digital strategist, creative director, and Internet Freedom expert with over a decade of experience developing organizations, global networks, and breakthrough solutions at the intersection of technology and society.

Borrás creates programs and solutions to promote the free flow of information in some of the world's most restricted environments, such as Iran, Afghanistan, and North Korea. As the co-founder and executive director of the Internet Freedom Festival (IFF), Borrás helmed a pioneering non-profit committed to the creation of community-driven physical and virtual spaces dedicated to championing digital rights. Under his leadership, the IFF built a global network spanning over 140 countries, contributing to the creation and development of some of the leading tools and strategies for combating online censorship and surveillance.

Borrás also serves as a member of the Advisory Council of the Open Technology Fund and is an active speaker and writer on technology and social issues. His insights have been featured in various international media outlets, including Libération, El País, and El Mundo. He has also authored research papers on subjects like the intersection of migration and the gig economy in Latin America and the implications of Big Tech's censorship policies on sexual health content. His social impact projects, including “hacking” Spotify to create the world’s first stream-to-donate campaign, have received coverage in the most famous creative communications publications, such as AdAge, Campaign, and Creative Review.

Borrás graduated with honors from the Executive Master of Business Administration program at Brown University / IE Business School. He also has a Diploma in Digital Media from Hyper Island in Stockholm, Sweden, and two Licenciatura degrees (BA and MA) in Media Studies and in Advertising and Public Relations from Cardenal Herrera - CEU University in Valencia, Spain.
